Dr Meet Thakkar, DMD

Dr. Meet Thakkar is a Dentist, as well as the Owner and Operator of Moss Healthcare in the beautiful neighborhood of Fairfield in Victoria, BC. He is very excited to serve the amazing people of the island by providing exemplary patient care.

Dr. Thakkar graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) Degree from the University of Manitoba, being the recipient of multiple awards and scholarships. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Dental hygiene (Gold Medalist) that he completed prior to his Dental schooling. Before making Victoria his home, Dr. Thakkar had been practicing in Alberta as a General Dentist.

He believes in a patient-centered approach that includes comprehensive treatment planning with thorough explanation of all the treatment options. He is dedicated to being a life-long learner and is always looking for ways to adopt the technological advances in the field of Dentistry. He is gentle, detail-oriented, efficient, and always does the best to provide the best quality Dentistry.

Dr. Thakkar loves developing a strong, long lasting relationship with all of his Patients, hoping to make a positive influence in their lives. It is for this reason that he chose this amazing profession and also why he chose to start his Practice in a vibrant multi-cultural city that Victoria is.

Dr. Thakkar strongly believes in giving back to the under-privileged communities. He has volunteered in oral health camps in Costa-Rica and India, and intends to continue community service locally as well. Dr. Thakkar has worked in the field of Dentistry in different capacities including Dental Hygiene, and is an advocate of ‘Healthy and Happy Smiles’. He practices General Dentistry and is passionate about all aspects of Dental Treatment including Cosmetic Dentistry, Root-canal Treatment, Oral Surgery, Crowns, Bridges and Esthetic Dentistry. He also offers sedation options to Patients who feel nervous or anxious about their appointments. He is thorough at answering any questions you have regarding your Oral Health, encourages our patients to ask questions, and is dedicated to providing the most positive patient experience.

Dr. Nisha Kampasi DDS

Dr. Nisha is a member in good standing of the British Columbia College of Oral Health Practitioners, Canadian Dental Association and American Dental Association, having graduated with a masters in Oral Medicine and Radiology before completing her DDS at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.  She has previously practiced in Minnesota (USA), Saskatchewan (Canada) and in India prior to relocating to Victoria, BC and joining the team at Moss Dental.

Dr. Nisha practices all aspects of general dentistry and especially enjoys prosthodontics, oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. She has a strong belief in patient focused practice and enjoys building long lasting, trust based relationships with her patients. She seeks to find efficient treatments that are both functional and aesthetic and works to optimize opportunities for preventative care with each patient she sees.

Her focus on patient education and patient care ensures that her patients have a thorough understanding of their oral health and helps each one to achieve a healthy beautiful smile. Dr. Nisha believes in treating all patients with respect, empathy and kindness, helping to ensure a positive dental experience.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nisha ca be found travelling, trying out new recipes, exploring cultures and relaxing with her family and friends. She also enjoys volunteering and has worked with many outreach programs in India, the USA and Canada.

Dr. Josie Paul DDS

Dr Josie K Paul DDS (USA), MDS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, India)

Dr Paul grew up in a family with both parents being dentists in a small town in India. He graduated from a Christian Mission owned dental school where students had the opportunity to serve the less privileged population in various rural settings. Dr Paul developed a sense of serving and spirituality through his dental work. It was also during the years of dental service in rural India that he developed a passion in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He pursued his interest in oral surgery through residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery (2012-2015) in Chennai, India. He later took over his parents’ family practice and also worked in academics in the Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implantology in Royal Dental College (India). He later migrated to north America. He worked as a general dentist with a focus on oral surgery and oral Implantology after being awarded a DDS degree from University of Colorado school of Dental Medicine. Dr. Paul is also a diplomate of Global College of Oral Implantologists (GCOI).

Dr. Paul has successfully completed hundreds of implant surgeries in India and USA including full mouth implant rehabilitation and sinus lifts. Being a dad to two girls, and his love for the sea and nature made him move to Victoria BC, where he strives to maintain a family life and work life balance while practising holistic dentistry. He would love to welcome any clients with needs in general dentistry specially in oral surgery and implantology; making sure to provide personalised, empathetic and holistic care while maintaining the highest standards in Dentistry.
